Meet Felipa, Founder & CEO
I started FotoGenic in 2014 as a gift to myself on my 25th birthday—no investor, no business class, no mentor. Just me, a dream, and my lifelong love of instant gratification. Growing up with a Polaroid camera in hand, I was that kid asking every two minutes, "Ya Mami? Papi, ya está?" waiting for photos to develop.
At the time, there were only 16 photo booth companies in the Twin Cities, and none were women-owned and operated. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but since 2014, FotoGenic has grown from one photo booth to multiple booths servicing Minnesota and North Carolina, with over 1,800 events under our belt.
I'm not a photographer, but I respect their creative eye. What I love is capturing raw, in-the-moment, fotogenic moments—and helping people feel confident and joyful in front of the camera. FotoGenic isn't just a photo booth; it's an experience you'll love.
